What Is Ecstasy?
Ecstasy, also known by it’s scientific name MDMA, is an amphetamine drug. This drug stimulates the body’s central nervous system. It is widely known for being sold in the form of colorful pills that are imprinted with amusing or fun characters. There are many street names for ecstasy. Some of those names include ‘E’, ‘XTC’, ‘love pill’, ‘candy’, and ‘marshmallow’. This drug is often referred to by the character or shape imprinted onto the pill. Symptoms of Ecstasy.
When some people consume ecstasy, the experience significant anxiety and cannot properly communicate with others. The effects of this drug tend to last about three to seven hours. Users then experience a “comedown” effect; this effect is similar to depression and varies in intensity. 21) Losing consciousness

23) Dehydration
24) Increase in temperature (hypothermia)
Side Effects of Ecstasy Use
There have been multiple deaths attributed to the use of ecstasy. This can happen even if the drug is only used once. It is also possible for dependence and addiction to develop. Ecstasy may lead to tense muscles, clenched teeth, difficulty seeing, faintness, chills, or increased sweating. If ecstasy is consumed it high amounts, it can negatively impact the way the user’s body regulates temperature. This can lead to liver failure, kidney failure, heart failure, and death.
